Aww...

I'm going to be away for a few days from the blog, I'll be checking myself into a place (my health insurance will pay for most of it) and hopefully I will get the help I need.
What will I do with myself while karmabites1 is checking into a mental health facility for a few days? Who checks into a place for a few days? (I'm really asking. I don't know how these things work, but I would figure if it's bad enough for you to have to actually CHECK IN, that they'll keep you for a while.)

I was a willing participant in what led to the one-night stand but if he'd shown a little bit more class and have been less of an asshole to me, this whole mess could've been avoided.
Assuming any of this is true (Is there anyone out there who still believes her?) she's still putting all the blame for this on Olbermann. And for what? He had sex with her and dumped her. That happens every DAY.

And say, did you notice that Tuesday's post has been deleted? She had deleted my comment that night, but the post was up until sometime this afternoon/early evening. I have screencaps of the post and most of the comments, though. Detractors, save your typing fingers - no need to tell me I'm pathetic or I need to get a new hobby or I need to get a life, etc, etc, etc. This is my hobby right now.

What happened to her not being able to afford counseling?

Regarding hospitalization, I think you can check yourself into a facility for a few days if you're a suicide risk or otherwise need some more intense help. I don't think that the limit she's placed on the time is anything out of the ordinary.

I'm honestly glad that she's finally getting the help she so clearly needs.

All of a sudden, she can afford counseling...after she was telling people she didn't have the wherewithal for it before...Isn't that special??

hey caroline --

will we have to find a support group? like AA to "wean" (not a great choice of words) us from her blog?

LOL.

I'm not totally convinced about her getting help. Wouldn't they evaluate her first & then decide if it's inpatient or outpatient. I am being sincere.

I hope she'll get help & gets well and leaves this whole situation behind her.

Most people would had written one paragraph & sent it to Cosmo for a "worst date" and went on with their lives.

8:29,

You're right, that's what most people would have done, but not KB. She obviously can't put the situation behind her, so she starts a blog and encourages everyone to post and tell her how strong she is and how diabolical KO is, at the same time she says she wants to put everything behind her, which would logically include her blog.
We'll never know both sides of the story, which seems to be just fine to KB and her adoring fans.
I think that KO learned in one night what it's taken the rest of us several weeks to realize about KB.

I don't know about a support group, but maybe a t-shirt saying "I read Karma's blog and all I got was this lousy T-shirt" on the front and "The Karma's Bark is worse that her bite, 2006" on the back?

Makes me wonder how disturbed acting she was at work for her supervisor to talk to her about it? Maybe she was that crabby support person I talked to the other day...scary.

I hope for her sake she is seeking help. But I fear it is another attempt at attention and/or sympathy. I hope I'm wrong.

One way we can tell....if she still has her blog comments section set up that moderator must approve. So far, new comments are getting on...so she still must be approving them. She wouldn't be able to do that if she's "checking herself in" somewhere.

She also needs to stop blaming Olbermann for her actions. If this situation happened, she made the choices and she lives with them. That's called maturity. If it didn't, she needs more help than just a few days care.

I wish her well and sanity...but we shall see...

Oh, I'm sure KO didn't have to "learn anything in one night." While KB was having her goofy "fantasy weekend" with him in her mind, the real Keith was watching Barry Bonds trying to break the home-run record...not messing with hotel rooms, ties or strange women of any kind.

LOL. I bet he only wishes he got as much sex as his enemies seem to think he's scamming off his devoted fans!

The limit of a few days in an in-patient facility is largely determined by your insurance coverage unless you are really at some risk. Even then....

But the threshold for an in-patient admission is pretty high these days. She is really bad off if that is the case.

On the other hand, I wonder if her supervisior told her that she was spending too much time on this blog (that her employer can track the time she spends in) and made it clear that if she did not focus on her work, she'd have bigger issues than pining for KO.

I don't know. I try to be open minded so I do hope that she is getting whatever help she needs. Especially is she is pulling away from family -- that is simply not good. But on the other hand (God help me), I do wonder if this isn't some exercise in bad performance art....

Oh, honey, even Leonard Pinth-Garnell wouldn't bother with this crap!

There's a reason why he's almost 50 and never been married. Has he ever been in a long-term relationship?

The warning signs were there.

"There's a reason why he's almost 50 and never been married."

Yes! Why can't he just CONFORM and be blissfully happy like all of the married people are??

Open up your mind and let me step inside
Rest your weary head and let your heart decide
It's so easy when you know the rules
It's so easy all you have to do
Is fall in love
Play the game,
Everybody play the game of love
When you're feeling down and your resistance is low
Light another cigarette and let yourself go
This is your life
Don't play hard to get
It's a free world
All you have to do is fall in love
Play the game, everybody play the game of love
My game of love has just begun
Love runs from head down to mt toes
My love is pumping through my veins
Driving me insane
Come come come play the game
This is your life - don;t play hard to get
It's a free world all you have to do is fall in love
Play the game
