The "Jackie Emails"

I post this simply in the interest of getting information out there. People are talking about these emails, positively and negatively. Jackie posted these on a couple of forums and I guess people were questioning their authenticity. Other people seem to have taken their content as further evidence of Olbermann's "guilt".

Jackie offered to send them to me so that I could post them. Previously, she had just copy/pasted the text of the emails, possibly because she doesn't know how to do screencaps or because she didn't want to bother with them. This time she forwarded the emails to me, and I believe that they are authentic.

These are the screencaps I took. Remember that because these are a set of replies, they appear in reverse order. You might want to start with the bottom cap and move up.

funny, that's pretty much what Karma's emails look like.

Raton--did she sent these to you already edited or did she forward them to you and you edited?

Never mind I just answered my own question.

Thanks for blocking my email address.

I sent Raton the individual replies too.

I hate to say this, it pains me to say this but he does seem mighty damn interested in finding out where those rumors about emails surfacing where coming from and on what site.

Anon 9:22, you mean the screencaps? I took both sets of screencaps on the same computer so they're going to look the same for the most part.

Jackie, not a problem. Thanks for letting us see them. I did receive the individual ones that you sent, but since the full set had timestamps on them I thought that would show the same thing.

And these emails, even if we were to presume them for real, prove exactly...what?

1. That a man is curious as to what kind of crap is being posted about him where on the Internet? (Gosh!)

2. That HE LIED when he said he wasn't answering any more fan mail? (Ooooooh! Big deal.)

3. That he's panicking? If this is all he said, he sure doesn't sound panicked to me.

4. That "Jackass" is no fan at all, but just a double agent pretending to be one so she can hopefully trap him just like the idiots who taunted him with insults? Yeah, you've "got his back" all right--you've got it squarely in your sights, so you can stick the knife right between his shoulder blades and twist. Hard.

Anon 10:31: I agree with you. Nothing sounds panicky. So he answered e-mail s in a short amount of time...SO? If "Jackie" had put everything together into ONE e-mail, there would have probably been ONE response.

As for not answering e-mails from viewers from now on. GOOD FOR HIM. I can only imagine what types of e-mail he gets. I'd cut it off too. It's sad that legitimate viewers may never get a response, but that's what happens sometimes.

These e-mails were written well-before any statement that he wasn't e-mailing viewers anymore came out. No descrepancy there.

Anon 10:31, Ditto to what Caroline said. As for your point #4, if I recall what she said elsewhere correctly, she was originally a fan. She said that she had emailed him many times before that but he never responded until this time. She said that she took it to mean that he didn't care to bother with her until she mentioned the "dirty emails." I don't want to speak for her, but I'm sure she's still around and can confirm or explain this.

PRESUME THEM FOR REAL? Are you on acid? Didn't you read that I forwarded the e-mails to Raton? You can't doctor forwarded e-mails on Yahoo.

1. That a man is curious as to what kind of crap is being posted about him where on the Internet? (Gosh!)

I sent him over 100 e-mails in a about a year. In about 20 of those e-mails I informed him about what people were saying on the Internet about him and not once did he reply until June 20th.

3. That he's panicking? If this is all he said, he sure doesn't sound panicked to me.

He replied in less than 5 minutes to all except the last one. Ask Raton for the individual e-mails if you want.

Hard.

You are paranoid and certifiably insane.

Back to the conspiracy theories again I see. Double agents? Do you really think there is an organized conspiracy to take down a cable host with miserable ratings?

I see no conspiracy theories here. My basic view of the "Jackie Emails" and Karma is this:

1) With Jackie, I don't read anything into what either Jackie or Olbermann wrote. Pretty much end of point. It's not scandalous that he wrote back to her multiple times in a short time frame. Heck, I do that if I happen to be at the computer when the mail comes in. I see nothing scandalous about what was written.

2) Karma. I think that someone is enjoying the attention she's moderately getting. I've never read a sincere post there. Moreover, she just doesn't seem credible. I do not believe the e-mails -- not because I do or don't like Olbermann, but because she has never acted credible. There are some pixel issues I've seen on the e-mail copies that aren't consistent with normal e-mails.

She drips, drip, drips "information" then deletes it. Then, in reponse to a comment saying that she could post the e-mails without putting his name on them, she replied that she thought about that before, but since his name was all over the site, she hadn't done it. The hesitation to associate the name "Keith Olbermann" in a permanent way (aside from the Cosby mail)and the "post, delete, semi-delete" is odd to me. Seems like someone is weighing the options between sorta lying or dropping the blog altogether.

My, Jackie, you certainly are defensive.

What difference does it make how quickly he responded to these emails, assuming he even sent them? They're brief and to the point. So are a lot of my work emails. I'm just trying to get information. They don't mean I am panicked, they just mean I'm being quick about it. You are reading stuff in that you can't possibly know, even if what you have is real (which I doubt).

You don't even know me and you say I'm "paranoid" and "certifiably insane"? Yeah, sure. Look in the mirror, and ask yourself what kind of "fan" you truly are when you behave this way. Whether what you have is real or fake, doing what you're doing is NOT being a fan.

As for 10:58...well, welcome back to the fine folks at OlbermannWatch!

Caroline, as usual, is spot on in the observations.

Thanks.

I guess on of my big problems with this whole issue is this: When anyone attempts to ask a question that might have a positive tilt toward Olbermann, immediately the poster is branded "psychotic" or whatever hate word popular at that minute.

If someone puts up a blog, website, etc. they should expect feedback and comments. If I post a story about how I live with Elvis and share his fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches, I expect that my inbox will have a few questions in it.

Someone puts forth a claim and people will question it. The variety of responses will range from left to right, nasty to mean, but that doesn't mean that questions shouldn't be asked.

When people start judging Olbermann's mental status (panicked) by the speed in which he answers e-mails, it's a sad day.

I think that give the two or so week history of Karma's blog, there is good reason for doubts to be had, for questions to arise. In my own experience, even the worst date doesn't warrant an entire blog dedicated to it. I'd probably wave that fickle middle of fate in the air and then move on. I'd rather blog about an awesome book I'd just read.

To each their own, but if you take your own public, expect reaction from the masses.

Caroline says: "If someone puts up a blog, website, etc. they should expect feedback and comments. If I post a story about how I live with Elvis and share his fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches, I expect that my inbox will have a few questions in it."

Ah, but Caroline, Karma is not interested in answering questions like "How can Elvis still be alive?" and "How do you know it is really Elvis?" and "How can you be telling the truth when we all know Elvis is dead?"

She only wants to answer questions like: "So, how is Elvis after all these years?" "What is Elvis like as a lover?" "What does his equipment look like?" "Does Elvis take Viagra?" and "Don't those fried peanut-butter-and-banana sandwiches have a lot of cholesterol?"

Those kinds of questions allow her to play the role of "insider" queen on the throne, doling out "information" to the uninformed.

The other kinds of questions challenge her credibility and accuse her of having made up the whole story just to get attention or to denigrate someone.

She's not interested in answering those kinds of questions.

And neither is Jackie.

Your obsession with KO is scary and damn right creepy. You're making all of these pathetic excuses to debunk KarmaB's story because you know in your heart he's an asshole and you can't deal with that reality.

After posting MY e-mail here and having you call it a fake, I know you guys aren't interested in the truth at all. Even if KO admitted to his affair with KB, you guys would say he was forced to do it.

It's just sad. I won't be wasting my time reading this blog anymore.

Actually 5:59 if you go and see what questions she's chosen to answer, she has avoided answering some of the more explicit questions thrown at her. I would say that she is NOT interested in answerng those types of questions because she has NOT done so, although she has allowed them to be posted there, she simply hasn't responded to them. The vast majority of her answers so far have been focused on replies on how they met, her time in NYC, etc, not on physical things, events etc.

I don't find it to be particularly useful to accuse her of saying something she didn't say or trying to distort what she has said.

It's pretty clear that their are individuals present here who will dispute any and everything. Raton has stated she believes the Jackie emails authentic.

Does it prove anything specific other than that this woman had an email exchange with him in recent weeks and that the discussion was specifically about these rumors? No, it does not.

But I think it's wrong to condemn her and accuse her of being in league with Karma, etc. It adds nothing to the discussion and just makes the accuser look like a raving lunatic in the process.

In response to Jackie's comment at 7:27, I sent her the following email:

I'm sure you knew that people would try to pick your emails apart when you said I could post them. I can't really apologize for anything the commenters have said, but I wanted to let you know that I do appreciate you letting me post them. I'm not trying to "debunk" karmabites1's claims necessarily. I'm trying to figure out what the truth is. If I thought she was telling the truth - and I did to an extent before - I would say so. I was glad to post your emails because they have become a part of this whole situation. They seem to be relevant. And there's no reason for me to doubt their authenticity.

After I saw your comment this morning, I wanted to say this. I wanted to email it in case you meant that you wouldn't be reading the blog anymore.

Although it does appear the Jackie emails are legit, it remains possible that the correspondent wasn't KO, but a staffer. (I answer my boss's emails all the time.)

Just a thought.

One thing I've noticed about Karma's answers is that the information she's been detailed on has all been public knowledge.

Merlot? Talked about in an interview.

Having to move from his apartment because it was sold? Said it on "The Big Show."

Down feather allergies? He's talked about many, many allergies on various programming.

What's next? Karma needs to mention his allergy to almonds, the fact that he's anemic, and his eye surgery.

Jackie, you're saying MY obsession with KO is scary and damn right creepy? YOU'RE the one who's coughed up these e-mails, honey! You're the one trying to imply that they suggest he is "panicked" about being "exposed" by Karma. So who's "obsessed" in a "scary" way?

The statement "You're making all of these pathetic excuses to debunk KarmaB's story because you know in your heart he's an asshole and you can't deal with that reality" is laughable. I don't "know" anything about him. What I DO know is that as a person I DON'T know, he deserves more credit and respect from me than for me to assume he's an asshole based on the unproven allegations of a complete stranger who won't even use her real name! And her story is easy to debunk because she never does a thing to prove a word of it.

I'm interested in the truth, all right--which is why I have no interest in what you have to say.

You presented sketchy evidence that was questioned, and now your knickers are in a knot. I guess you got the sympathy from Raton that you were begging for, but you won't from me.

To whoever said of Karma, "if you go and see what questions she's chosen to answer, she has avoided answering some of the more explicit questions thrown at her. I would say that she is NOT interested in answerng those types of questions because she has NOT done so," I say: That doesn't mean she doesn't enjoy being ASKED those questions to the hilt!

I think Jackie is in league with Karma to lend her credibility. Why else even do what she has done?

Caroline again made an excellent point. It doesn't take much reading about Olbermann to learn that he likes Merlot or had to move from his apartment because it was sold. Same with the allergies.

"What's next? Karma needs to mention his allergy to almonds, the fact that he's anemic, and his eye surgery." LOL! Don't forget his asthma, Caroline!

Anyone notice that Karma is now saying she's not sure he left NYC that weekend at all? This after insisting repeatedly that her "friend" spotted him at a Phillies game & she confronted him about it? Which is it? Was he in Philly or was he in NYC?

I also find it very hard to believe that, assuming this entire story to be true, if he intended on dumping her from the start, why would he give her his direct contact information? My theory: *IF* there's a grain of truth to this story, he was planning to meet up with her again, but she went psycho on him & so he ran. He didn't dump her; she scared him off.

"She scared him off" is a possibility...IF the whole story isn't just some opium dream of hers...
